CONTINUED MEETING OF THE ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
HELD THE NZNTH DAY OF JANUARY IN THE YEAR NINETEEN HUNDRED NINETY

Chairman Bradby called the meeting to order at .3:00 P.M.
County Attorney Crook stated that the previous Board of
Supervisors meeting was continued to today for a meeting with they
Town Council of the Town of Smithfield who notified the County that
they did not wish to meet. County Attorney Crook informed the
Board that this is a continuation of the Board's regular meeting
of January 3, 1991 and it was necessary for the Board to meet .today
in order to continue the meeting until January 10, 199.1 at which
time the Board would have public hearings on the applications of
Norfolk and Western Railway Company..
County Attorney. Crook stated he had written a letter to the
Board members concerning the Turner borrow pit application and
asked the Board to approve the advertising of that application for
the February 7, 1991 meeting of the Board since it was not legally
necessary for the applicator to go back. to the Planning Commission,
Supervisor Ross moved the Board approve the advertising of the
Turner borrow pit application for a public hearing on February 7,
1991. The motion .passed (3-0) unanimously of those members
present.
At 3:15 P.M. Supervisor Ross moved the Board continue the
meeting until January 10, 1991 at 7:00 P.M. The motion passed by
unanimous vote (3-0j of those members present.
