CALL TO ORDER
Chairman McCarty called the retreat to order at 9:00 a.m. and welcomed all
present.

The Board received an overview of regional development trends/growth
projections, the regional economy and the regional fiber/broadband efforts.
Following a break, the Board received an overview of affordable housing
opportunities and local development activity.
Following a break, an overview of regional transportation projects was provided.
Following lunch, an overview of the Southeastern Public Service Authority, the
required transportation improvements and the planned expansion of the landfill
was received.
Following a break, there was discussion about the Board's legislative priorities for
the upcoming 2024 legislative season and the proposed regional legislative agenda
items.
Following a break, there was discussion on the Board's priorities for the upcoming
operating and capital budgets.
At 4:00 p.m., Chairman McCarty declared the retreat adjourned.
