CONTINUED MEETING OF THE ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY BOARD
OF SUPERVISORS HELD THE FIFTHEENTH DAY OF SEPTEMBER IN
THE YEAR TWO THOUSAND AND FIVE ''

Chairman Bradshaw called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. at the Joel
C. Bradshaw Fairgrounds at the Isle of Wight County Heritage Park.
Chairman Bradshaw introduced the members of the Board of
Supervisors, and provided. comments regarding the purpose of the ceremony
in dedicating the new fairgrounds in honor of both his father and grandfather.
Alan S. Nogiec, Director of Parks and Recreation, provided comments:
relative to Joel C. Bradshaw's long-standing association with the County
Fair, and his dedication to its success.
Chairman Bradshaw recognized and introduced the various members of
his immediate family who were also in attendance.
Chairman Bradshaw called on Supervisor Bradby, .who made
comments relative to his friendship and association with Joel C. Bradshaw,
Jr.
Mr. Nogiec introduced Mr. Tom Base, Chairman of the Isle of Wight
Fair Committee, who provided comments relative to everyone's commitment
to make the new fair site a success.
Mr. Nogiec recognized the. Miss Isle of Wight County Fair Queens,
who then took turns introducing themselves.
Chairman Bradshaw concluded the dedication ceremony by thanking
everyone. in attendance, and recessed the Board meeting at 4:27 p.m. to be
reconvened in the Board Room at the Isle of Wight County Courthouse.
