Supervisor Claud called the meetingto order at 9:30 a.m.

The Board discussed in detail the FY1997-98 budget with the Director of
..Budget and Finance.

At 12:15 p,m., Supervisor Claud moved the Board recess for lunch. The
motion was adopted unanimously (5-0).
The Board reconvened at.12:45 p.m.

Regarding the report of Glenn P. Richardson, Senior Hearing Examiner,
.GTE South Incorporated, Supervisor Claud moved the Board authorize the
.Chairman to sign a letter from the Board to the State Corporation Commission
with the recommendations as proposed. The motion was adopted (5-0).

At 2:55 p.m., Supervisor Cofer moved the Board adjourn. The motion was
adopted unanimously (5-0).
